Power Generation

PeakGen

A tradition of innovation

Building on the past, preparing for the net zero future

PeakGen’s roots lie in power generation. Our current fleet has a generation capacity of 184MW, with 6MWh of battery storage, across 12 locations around the UK. The electricity we generate is sold on the power markets or direct to customers. Traded power is optimised by our own trading and optimisation team to maximise value.

NOx

In line with our commitment to help the energy sector transition to net zero, our fleet of machines have all been fitted with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions to near zero.

HVO

All machines have also been converted to be capable of running on hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) – an alternative to diesel that generates up to 90% fewer emissions.

Battery storage

Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) are a vital part of the transition to cleaner energy, helping to reduce our reliance on non-renewable resources. BESS enable us to store excess energy until it’s needed and then sell it back to the grid at peak times.

We have installed BESS at some of our generation sites.

Dedicated maintenance for maximum uptime

To ensure maximum uptime, our fleet is maintained by our own dedicated team of engineers. The Innovergy operations maintenance engineering team covers our entire fleet, providing 24/7 rapid response coverage throughout the year across the UK.
